Owner Libby Bednarek has built a name for herself in the beauty industry through integrity, continuous hard work, and a strong will to reach new goals.
Libby began her journey at Duncan Brothers Barber School in Oklahoma City. She then spent 10+ years as a hairstylist, all the while honing her skills in the business side of the industry. Libby furthered her learning at the Austin Aveda Institute and managed multi-location salons for the next 5+ years, leading style teams and management teams. During this time, Libby discovered a talent and passion for teaching and helping others in her industry reach their potential.
Naturally, the next step was to open her own salon and cultivate an all-star team of stylists who shared her love of caring for clients and continuing education. Salt + Waves Salon was born. Now serving two locations, the salon is helping hundreds of clients in the Austin area find laid-back luxury with personalized blonding, extensions, and more.

the Hutto location is very beautiful, bohemian, clean, and connected to one of my favorite coffee shops, Dwell House Coffee & tap. You can even order from the coffee shop while you are getting your hair done and they will deliver it to you! Definitely recommend this place!
